Former Swiss international defender Bruno Berner last week featured on Teleclub Sport’s Kick Off show to discuss major topics in Swiss football heading into the weekend’s fixtures.
Joining his former manager at Grasshopper Club Zurich, Rolf Fringer, on the Kick Off sofa, Berner discussed the current crisis between club management and the chairman/board at St. Gallen, with Bruno explaining that the mixture of too many politics and egotism results in people – and football – suffering as a consequence; something not appreciated by true football supporters.
Other topics featuring included the change in playing style of FC Lugano and the appointment of Murat Yakin as manager of Grasshopper Club Zurich, with Yakin taking charge of the club for the first time against FC Sion. On the topic of Sion, the panel discussed the tireless attitude of the club’s chairman Christian Constantin, who oversaw a lot of changes among the playing squad this summer.
