Last week saw Bruno Berner make his final appearance of the season on Teleclub Sport 1’s Extratime, with the former Swiss international full-back providing his take on a number of topics within the Swiss Super League.

Bruno joined host Lukas Ninck and former FC Zurich manager Georges Bregy in discussing the latest news from Switzerland’s top flight, focusing on the relegation of FC Zurich to the Swiss Challenge League and dissecting the various reasons responsible for the club’s demotion.

Berner also reviewed the excellent season enjoyed by his former employers, Grasshopper Club Zurich, who finished fourth this season with one of the nation’s youngest sides. Grasshopper Club Zurich’s fourth-placed finish will ensure that they’re playing in the Europa League next season.

Other topics discussed included the arguable under-achievement of FC Sion, who missed out on Europa League qualification despite heavy investment during the close season, in addition to the UEFA Champions League Final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
