Bruno Berner is facing a challenging pre-season in his new role as head coach of Swiss third-tier side, SC Kriens.
Berner’s men took on two top flight sides last Friday in a four-team knockout tournament of 45-minute matches. Unfortunately, SC Kriens lost to F.C. Thun 3-0 in the semi-final, before beating Young Boys Bern 1-0 in the third-place play-off match. Tonight (Wednesday) will see Bruno’s team face another Super League outfit, F.C. Luzern, who are managed by former Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers and German international defender, Markus Babbel.
These games form part of SC Kriens preparation for their league season, which begins in August.
